As the weekend approaches, the excitement is building and I'm wondering what it is that I'm SO excited about. . .

Could it be that My Very Precious Princess will be wearing a very special Cap and Gown as she walks across the stage to receive her diploma signifying the completion of her Master's Degree?

Or, could it be the excitement is building because I'll get to visit the Greer Garson Theatre for the very first time?

Built in 1993, this five story, 50,000 square foot addition is the only theatre in the Southwest modeled after the great classical thrust stages – incorporating elements found in the Festival Theatre at Stratford, the Tyrone Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and the Chichester Festival Theatre in England., a modified horseshoe – shaped design. The theater seats 386. The facility also houses the University’s film and video archives in a climate controlled storage screening rooms and office space for University’s Southwest Film/Video Archives. The new wing is linked with the Hamon Arts Library. They are designed as twin buildings with a combination of historical design and state of the art theatrical technology. The combination of the two buildings features tall narrow windows, simple pilasters and a curving balcony on the third floor. The façade is embellished by a formal courtyard, with trees, benches and a large fountain.

Or Maybe it's excitement about once again being on the campus where my own creative juices appeared.
Welcome to the McFarlin Memorial Auditorium. McFarlin Auditorium is the site for many University events such as commencement, graduation, the renowned Willis M. Tate Lecture Series, and other student programs. McFarlin is also used to showcase international dance companies, famous vocalists, and nationally celebrated bands. Known as one of the jewels among the Southern Methodist University campus, the auditorium is evolving to become one of the most unique medium-sized venues in the region.

Or, maybe it's excitement about a day at the races . . .


Now that I've previewed the weekend in my own head and here on my blog too, the answer is clear, somethings remain the same and once planted in your brain and alive in your heart too, they will always remain true. The stars have always loved him, I love him too and all my excitement is really all about being in close proximity to my one and only, and I wish you could spend time with him too. Bob HOPE and GRACIE Allen knew a good thing when they saw him!!!!

And, my Princess full of Hope and Grace, I'll be there just a little bit for You too and, as You know, Grace will be too! I Love You!

Peppers, Pepper, I have Peppers!

The most fun I've had in a very long time! I have peppers! Yep, that's right, I planted Hot Peppers, and every variety of Bell Pepper (yellow, orange, red & green) and of course, tomatoes in one of my flower beds. The morning I discovered I had Hot Peppers I was so excited you would have thought I had just won the lottery! It's very interesting the transition and transformations you go through in life. I couldn't help but think about the days I lived in a house with a big yard and I chose to grow nothing! Now, here I am in this little bitty house with a little bitty yard and my greatest pleasure is growing stuff in my little bitty flower beds. If all the seeds I've planted florish over the next few months, I'll be so covered up with flowers, vegetables and Hot Pepper, I might not be able to get out of my house!!!! It's a wonderful thing to watch stuff grow! And, even Butterflies like Hot Peppers!!!!
