Butterfly

God loves the caterpillar as much as the butterfly, knowing that the former leads perfectly to the latter when we surrender to the design of the system. When we hold ourselves in it in isolation and fear, in denial, prideful, overcompensating, gorging ourselves endlessly and uncontrollably, we can literally blow ourselves up, but that is not the design, only our obstinant refusal to embrace truth.

"Only when I am desperately pretending to be a butterfly do I view the caterpillar in others with disdain. This is what self-hate looks like - 'judging the caterpillar.' The true butterfly in me looks back on the caterpillar in others with awe and wonder, with great hope and anticipation, knowing what's surely unfolding."
